FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why should I put my child in dance?

Dance is a great way to keep your child active in a fun and positive environment!
Dance has physical, mental and emotional benefits including instilling confidence, getting exercise, helping develop self-awareness, learning discipline, helping self-expression and developing social skills all while learning proper dance technique. The benefits are endless!

How long are classes?

Typically classes are 45 minutes and students attend class once per week. Many students will take more than one style and many classes run back to back to make driving easier for parents

How long is the dance season?

The dance season is a 34-week program with classes running from September through June. Classes are cancelled on holidays.

What should my child wear?

Students do not need a specific uniform; however, they will need dance attire appropriate for the class they are attending – i.e. bodysuit, tights and ballet slippers for Ballet. Please see the class schedules/Registration page for more attire information. We have a used dance shoe/attire book at the studio so parents can opt to buy items second hand, making dance very affordable!

Yes! All classes perform in the year end recital in June (students can opt out of the recital – please be sure to notify the office if this is the case)
